A popular hobby many Koreans are picking up is rock climbing. Thus, the number of rock climbing gyms are starting to increase. The landscape of Korea is great for rock climbing. There are many mountains that offer climbers great spots to climb while enjoying the lush beauty of the nature around them. However, before being able to rock climb out in nature, one should train indoors. Some of my friends took up this hobby while living in Korea and invited me to join.

All of South Korea has many mountains. Thus, it is no wonder that one of Korea's favorite pastimes is to go for a nice hike. Now, I am used to hiking, because in my hometown in California, I lived in a valley. Still, those mountains do not compare to the size or the beauty of the mountains in Korea. Living in Seoul can be a dream for any sports lover. The opportunity to indulge in outdoor running and cycling in a safe environment is a dream. The city is built to accommodate professional and non-professional athletes with its bike paths, sidewalks and bike lanes. The amount of mountain trails are endless and the opportunity to run in a forest and climb to the top of a summit is conveniently placed at every close subway exit or bus stop. Korea is all about being practical and suiting the needs of it's cities' inhabitants. And it is because of this that athletes and sports lovers alike would love living in Korea.
