Spring is my absolute favorite season in Korea. What is there not to love about the sweet smell of cherry blossoms and the return of warm weather! It is during this time that Korea, comes alive and people are able to enjoy festivals like Tulips in Taean, Cherry Blossoms in Yeouido and strawberries in Nonsan. While these are all great festivals I highly recommend attending during your time teaching in Korea, as a current Seoul resident I wanted to provide you with my five favorite Spring activities in Korea's capital city.

I began teaching in Korea in the winter time, which has its charm for sure. It’s nice to cozy up in layers and hike through primarily brushy trails and leaf litter or just have hot drinks with friends. But I’m definitely partial to hot weather. One of the most glorious signs of warm days ahead is the mass bloom of cherry blossom trees around South Korea. Spring is just around the corner! I look forward to the blooming cherry blossoms, blue skies and delicious strawberries everywhere! Korea is a popular travel destination during the months of April and May, because of the great weather and stunning Spring atmosphere. The scenery is magnificent, from the Canola flowers growing inside Mt. Hallasan's crater to the perfectly pictured Yeoido Cherry Blossom trees.
